Song Show Plus 5.X
Last Updated: 2/15/10I recently had some trouble with Song Show Plus 5.5 so I thought I would post the information I got here.
- Under Windows 9X SongShowPlus stores Songs in C:\Program Files\R-Technics\SongShowPlus\Songs
- Under Windows XP SongShowPlus stores Songs in
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Shared Documents\R-Technics\SongShowPlus\Songs - Under Windows 9X SongShowPlus stores Song Indexes in C:\Program Files\R-Technics\SongShowPlus\Songs\indexes
- Under Windows XP SongShowPlus stores Song Indexes in
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Shared Documents\R-Technics\SongShowPlus\Songs\indexes
Note: New song folder may be in a different location then the old song folder if you have a different Operating System on your new PC (Windows XP). As in my case, Windows 98 to Windows XP.
When copying old songs to new computer, copy all songs but not the song directory or song indexes. Doing so may cause an error. It did for me. Once all songs are in the right place, open up songshowplus and go to "Tools>Database Utilities>Rebuild Indexes". After it finishes close and reopen songshowplus. This worked for me. It took me hours to find out that the place song files is stored changes from one operating system to the next. I hope this saves you hours of stress. For more help with SongShowPlus try the User Forums
